Ingredients

  • Blanco Tequila2 oz
  • Cointreau0.75 oz
  • Fresh Lime Juice1 oz
  • Simple Syrup0.5 oz
  • Kosher Salt1 rim
  • Crushed Ice1.5 cups
  • Lime Wheel1 piece

Method

  1. Salt rim of coupe
  2. Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup to blender
  3. Add 1.5 cups crushed ice
  4. Blend until smooth and thick
  5. Pour into prepared coupe
  6. Garnish with lime wheel

Pro Tips

  • Don't over-blend — 8-10 seconds max. Over-blending creates water.
  • Use fresh lime — the pre-made frozen margarita mix is sweet-sour-slurry shame.
  • A float of Grand Marnier on top (like a Cadillac Margarita) elevates this significantly.
