Ingredients
- Light Rum1.5 oz
- Dark Rum1.5 oz
- Passion Fruit Syrup1.5 oz
- Fresh Lime Juice0.75 oz
- Fresh Orange Juice0.75 oz
- Crushed Ice1.5 cups
- Orange Wheel1 piece
- Maraschino Cherry1 piece
Method
- Add rums, passion fruit syrup, lime juice, and orange juice to blender
- Add 1.5 cups crushed ice
- Blend until smooth
- Pour into hurricane glass
- Garnish with orange wheel and cherry
Pro Tips
- Real passion fruit syrup (Monin Pure Passion) is 10x better than any passion fruit juice.
- Light rum + dark rum in equal parts — not all dark (too heavy) or all light (too thin).
- Drink through a straw; a hurricane drunk without a straw melts quickly and tastes flat by mid-glass.
