Classic · Rum · Rocks glass
From Modern American Drinks by George J. Kappeler (1900). Original recipe: "Fill a mixing-glass half-full fine ice, add one tablespoonful fine sugar, a little water, the juice of half a lemon, half a jigger Jamaica rum, half a jigger St. Croix rum; shake well. Serve in a long thin glass with straws, trim with fruits in season."

Ingredients
- Sugar0.5 tbsp
- Aged Jamaican Rum1 oz
- St1 oz
Method
- Add sugar, aged jamaican rum, and st to mixing glass with ice
- Stir until well chilled
- Strain into chilled rocks glass
