Ingredients
- Cachaça2 oz
- Red Grapes (halved)8 pieces
- White Sugar2 tsp
- Fresh Lime Wedges3 pieces
- Whole Red Grapes3 pieces
- Crushed Ice1 cup
Method
- Halve red grapes and drop into rocks glass with sugar
- Muddle well to release juice
- Add cachaça and lime wedges, muddle gently
- Fill with crushed ice, stir vigorously
- Garnish with whole grapes on a pick
Pro Tips
- Smash the grapes first with a muddler — extracting the juice matters more than crushing the lime.
- Red Concord or Niagara grapes are best; green grapes taste thin. A dark-skinned grape is better.
- Use a still cachaça (not aged) — aged cachaça fights the fruit's sweetness.
