Ingredients
- Gin2 oz
- Cointreau0.75 oz
- Fresh Lemon Juice0.75 oz
- Egg White1 piece
- Lemon Peel1 twist
Method
- Dry shake gin, Cointreau, lemon juice, and egg white
- Add ice and shake hard again
- Double strain into chilled coupe
- Garnish with lemon peel
Pro Tips
- Original is gin + Cointreau + lemon + egg white — the egg white is a post-1930s addition.
- Dry-shake first, then reverse-shake with ice for max foam.
- Use a London Dry gin (Beefeater, Tanqueray) for the cleanest profile.
