Ingredients

  • Bourbon Whiskey2 oz
  • Salted Caramel Syrup0.5 oz
  • Vanilla Bitters2 dashes
  • Flaky Sea Salt1 pinch
  • Orange Peel1 flamed

Method

  1. Add bourbon, salted caramel syrup, and bitters to mixing glass with ice
  2. Stir until well chilled
  3. Strain into rocks glass over large cube
  4. Flame orange peel and drop in
  5. Finish with a small pinch of flaky sea salt

Pro Tips

  • Make caramel syrup at home — melt sugar to amber, add cream and butter off heat, a pinch of salt. Bottled versions taste chemical.
  • A flamed orange peel contributes bitter oil that cuts the caramel sweetness.
  • Finish with Maldon flakes, not table salt — you want visible crystals melting on top.
