Ingredients
- Vodka1.5 oz
- Junmai Sake1.5 oz
- Cucumber Ribbon1 piece
Method
- Add vodka and sake to mixing glass with ice
- Stir 30 seconds until very cold
- Strain into chilled coupe
- Garnish with long cucumber ribbon curled in the glass
Pro Tips
- Use junmai, not honjozo — brewer's alcohol additions read badly when you cut it with vodka.
- Stir, don't shake — shaking a sake-based drink bruises the rice-wine flavor.
- A long cucumber ribbon (peeler down a whole cucumber) curled around the glass is the signature touch.
