Ingredients
- Citron Vodka2 oz
- Fresh Lemon Juice1 oz
- Simple Syrup0.5 oz
Method
- Prep: Rim coupe with lemon juice and dip in superfine sugar
- Glassware: Chill the rimmed coupe
- Build: Combine 2 oz citron vodka, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup (or 0.5 oz triple sec) in shaker
- Shake: Add ice and shake vigorously until well chilled
- Strain: Double-strain into the prepared coupe
- Garnish: Lemon twist
Pro Tips
- Superfine sugar sticks the rim better than granulated
- Absolut Citron or Ketel One Citroen give the cleanest citrus note
- Shake hard enough that ice chips break off — dilution balances the tart
