From Modern American Drinks by George J. Kappeler (1900). Original recipe: "A hot-drink glass one-third full boiling water, add one lump of sugar, one jigger Scotch whiskey, fill up with ginger ale, add a piece twisted lemon peel, grate nutmeg on top."

Ingredients
- Sugar1 lump
- Blended Scotch Whisky2 oz
- twisted lemon peel1 piece
Method
- Add sugar and blended scotch whisky to blender with 1 cup crushed ice
- Blend until smooth
- Pour into rocks glass
- Garnish with twisted lemon peel
