A refreshing tall drink that combines gin with lemon juice, sugar, and soda water. This pre-Prohibition classic is perfect for hot weather and afternoon sipping.

Ingredients
- Gin2 oz
- Fresh Lemon Juice1 oz
- Simple Syrup0.5 oz
- Soda Water2 oz
- Lemon Wheel1 piece
Method
- Add gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to shaker with ice
- Shake vigorously and strain into highball glass with ice
- Top with soda water
- Garnish with lemon wheel
Pro Tips
- Dry-shake (no ice) the egg white 20 seconds first, THEN add ice and shake again. Two-shake technique.
- Soda goes in SLOWLY down the side of the glass — otherwise the foam collapses.
- A properly-executed Gin Fizz has a meringue-height foam that stands above the rim.
