From Modern American Drinks by George J. Kappeler (1900). Original recipe: "One-half jigger Tom gin, one-half jigger Italian vermouth, a mixing-glass half-full fine ice, two dashes calasaya. Mix and strain into cocktail-glass."

Ingredients
- Old Tom Gin1 oz
- Sweet Vermouth1 oz
- calasaya2 dashes
Method
- Add old tom gin, sweet vermouth, and calasaya to mixing glass with ice
- Stir until well chilled
- Double strain into chilled coupe glass
