Ingredients

  • Bourbon Whiskey1.5 oz
  • Campari1 oz
  • Sweet Vermouth1 oz
  • Orange Peel1 piece

Method

  1. Add bourbon, Campari, and sweet vermouth to mixing glass with ice
  2. Stir until well chilled
  3. Strain into rocks glass over large ice cube
  4. Garnish with orange peel

Pro Tips

  • A Manhattan-Negroni hybrid; 1.25 oz rye + 1 oz sweet vermouth + 1 oz Campari balances best.
  • Use a rich, high-proof bourbon — it needs backbone to stand up to the Campari.
  • A orange peel — and only the peel — is traditional. No fruit in this drink.
