Ingredients

  • Amontillado Sherry3 oz
  • Fresh Orange Slices2 pieces
  • Fresh Lemon Juice0.25 oz
  • Simple Syrup0.5 oz
  • Mint Sprig1 piece
  • Seasonal Berries3 pieces

Method

  1. Fill wine glass with crushed ice
  2. Add sherry, orange slices, lemon juice, and simple syrup
  3. Churn with a bar spoon to combine
  4. Top with more crushed ice
  5. Garnish with orange wheel, mint, and berries

Pro Tips

  • Amontillado sherry hits the ideal sweet spot; fino is too dry, oloroso too heavy.
  • Churn it with a bar spoon, not shake — you want aeration without over-dilution.
  • Fresh berries in peak season make all the difference; frozen in the winter works but is sadder.
