From Modern American Drinks by George J. Kappeler (1900). Original recipe: "Fill a thin fizz-glass three-fourths full of fine ice, add three dashes gum-syrup, three dashes maraschino, one jigger brandy. Mix well. Trim with fruit in season. Serve with straws."

Ingredients
- Simple Syrup3 dashes
- Maraschino Liqueur3 dashes
- Brandy2 oz
Method
- Add simple syrup, maraschino liqueur, and brandy to mixing glass with ice
- Stir until well chilled
- Strain into chilled rocks glass
