Ingredients
- Kirsch1 oz
- Dark Crème de Cacao1 oz
- Tart Cherry Juice0.5 oz
- Fresh Lemon Juice0.25 oz
- Brandied Cherry1 piece
- Dark Chocolate1 shaving
Method
- Add kirsch, chocolate liqueur, cherry juice, and lemon juice to shaker with ice
- Shake hard
- Double strain into chilled coupe
- Garnish with brandied cherry and grated dark chocolate
Pro Tips
- Maraschino liqueur (Luxardo) can substitute Kirsch in a pinch — similar cherry profile, sweeter.
- The dark chocolate grating matters — use a Microplane, not a peeler.
- A brandied cherry (Luxardo, Fabbri) beats a bright-red maraschino; it has depth.
